Faculty Resource Center
The Resource Center is on the 2nd floor of Building
6 (above the Teachers’ Room). Current opening hours are Mon-Fri,
10.00-11.30 and 12.30-5.00.

Students can use the Resource Center to:
• do self-study of English and other foreign
languages;
• do research for class projects;
• meet with other students to work on class projects;
• find information on scholarships, internships, NGO activities, and study
abroad;
• meet with other students and teachers to discuss their study plans, and
internship and scholarship opportunities.
Resources currently available for English study include:
• Graded readers and cassettes for developing
reading and listening skills
• Vocabulary learning materials including dictionaries and self-study texts
• Academic writing guides and textbooks
•
TOEFL & TOEIC practice materials (included CD Roms installed
on computers)
• Research resources (various texts and a CD Rom archive of articles from
New Internationalist magazine)
• Law texts
• Political science texts
• Computers with Internet access
• Video, DVD and cassette players
• Space for students to do individual self-study, meet in groups, and practice
presentations, role-plays, etc.
Please feel free to:
• have a look at the Resource Center for
yourself;
• ask students to make a visit for homework (and find interesting/useful
resources, as well as suggest resources that are still
needed); and,
• encourage your students to use the Center for
- individual self-study and research work
- meeting in their own time to discuss and prepare group project work
for class, to practice presentations, etc. If possible, students should
reserve a time in
advance with the Center receptionist.
- reviewing videos and tapes of their presentations, discussions, conversations,
etc.
Please also note that the Resource Center should
not be used by teachers as a classroom. Thanks!
As with all the other resources, the Resource Center
is an ongoing project, and resources are being developed as time and
money
allow. Feedback from you
and
