2005 Teachers Retreat - Hayama, June 17th & 18th

Provisional Retreat Programme for Saturday Sessions

The Saturday sessions will include (but not necessarily in this order):
 
A. one concurrent session in small groups on either Basic Discussion Skills or Academic Essay Writing;
 
B. one concurrent session in small groups on Basic Discussion Skills, or Introduction to Communication skills, or Academic Essay Writing;
 
C. one concurrent session in small groups on the across-different-courses concerns given below;
 
D. one concurrent session in small groups on Improving Discussion Skills, or Advanced Listening & Speaking Courses, or English for Business / TOEIC, or English for Study Abroad / TOEFL & English for Legal Study Abroad;
 
E. (at least) one feedback and plenary session.
 
For Sessions A, B and C, you will choose what course-specific groups you want to be in, but, for Session D, we would like to assign you to a particular group so that people teaching the same, less common, type of courses can discuss ideas together. Please click here to see the assigned groupings that we have in mind.
